BALZER LAB

Subgroup of the Single Molecule Lab

of Thorsten Hugel

What is friction?

What is adhesion?

How are single molecule properties related to the behavior of macroscopic materials?

Atomic Force Microscopy helps us to answer these questions!

The Balzer Lab is a Subgroup of the Chair of Single Molecule Spectroscopy (Thorsten Hugel)

at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the University of Freiburg

Join us for a day filled with engaging discussions on your AFM-related topics, hands-on sessions and valuable insights into tips and tricks for optimizing your results. The meeting is designed to foster exchange within the AFM community, whether you are sharing recent findings, discussing current challenges, or simply connecting with fellow researchers.

We have scheduled ample time for talks and poster presentations, and will offer hands-on experiences with Oxford Instrument’s Cypher and Jupiter AFMs. To conclude the day, we warmly invite you to a barbecue gathering.

This cross-border meeting brings together colleagues from Freiburg, Basel, Karlsruhe, Strasbourg, Mulhouse and Stuttgart. That is a great opportunity to expand your network within the regional AFM community.

Interested? Please contact us via email to bizan.balzer@physchem.uni-freiburg.de by June 20.
