ADVANCED BIOCHEMISTRY AND BIOPHYSICS OF PROTEINS

Practical course week about AFM cantilever tip functionalization, AFM based single molecule force spectroscopy and AFM based imaging.

SEMINAR:
MOLECULAR MACHINES AND INTERFACES

For PhD students and postdocs about recent topics and literature.

LECTURE:
SINGLE MOLECULE METHODS

Contents: basics of optical microscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, superresolution spectroscopy (STED, PALM), fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS), Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET), single molecule kinetics, optical tweezers, magnetic tweezers, atomic force microscopy, force spectroscopy.

LECTURE:
RECHENMETHODEN DER PHYSIKALISCHEN CHEMIE II

Inhalte: Matrizen, Eigenwerte und -vektoren,  Fourier-Reihen, Differentialgleichungssysteme, Kombinatorik und Wahrscheinlichkeitsrechnung.
